Why Welcome to the Woods?
My name is Becky Wood, and I am the creative mind behind Welcome to the Woods Design Studio. I have been passionate about helping small businesses achieve their branding and design dreams since my very first career fair back in Grade 8! With a background in Marketing and extensive experience in graphic design and digital marketing, I have come to realize how much small business owners need accessible, effective marketing design support.
Running a small business means wearing countless hats, and it can get overwhelming. That is where Welcome to the Woods comes in—I’m here to simplify your marketing, make your social media shine, your branding resonate, and your business stand out in the minds of your customers.
Inspired by the natural world around Muskoka, I take a genuine, grounded approach to design. Just as my studio’s name suggests, I’d love to welcome you into my family of clients, getting to know you and your vision so we can bring it to life together.

Welcome to the Woods is a play on my last name, an invitation to feel comfortable sharing your story with me and a reminder of the important role nature plays in our everyday lives. When I thought of the branding for Welcome to the Woods Design Studio, I made a list of the feelings and senses I want to invoke, even if just in the back of your mind.

The way the wind wraps around your hand and through your hair, resting on your skin, as you stand by the lake on a warm summers day.

The way the light hits the trees and casts soft shadows through your window, while the steam from your coffee playfully dances to the sky on an early Sunday morning.

The texture of canvas and old barn wood.

Soft pine needles resting on the spongy forest floor.

Fog resting on the top of the towering pine trees, a misty haze enveloping you and your surroundings, dampening your hair and creating a mysterious but comforting landscape.

Your favourite, worn-in, cozy sweater that survives every clothing purge despite it's coffee stains and pills because it always pairs perfectly with campfires, cozy nights on the couch with a soft blanket and Fall road trips.
